SHAH ALAM, Feb 6 — The Selangor government via its Workers Retrenchment Action Committee will provide an online registration service for the retrenched workers to enable suitable assistance to be channelled.
A statement from the Press Secretariat of the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office today, said the online registration would complement the manual registration to be carried out at the local authorities’ offices state-wide.
For the time being, the committee called on all retrenched workers to register themselves at http://my.jobstreet.com/retrench-helpline/ provided by Jobstreet.com.
The statement also said that according to the Selangor State Investment Centre (SSIC), a total of 451 workers in the state had accepted the offer for voluntary separation scheme (VSS), while 2,205 others had been retrenched temporarily last month. — Bernama
